Laura Guy is an artist and writer researching the intersections of photography, history and the vernacular landscape. Her work often develops around long walks she likes to take. She is heavily influenced by the visual language of libraries and museums and by her involvement in the DIY movement, preferring to use cheap and easily reproducible media.
Laura was born in Birmingham and is now based in London. Amongst other projects she is currently working on a collaboration surrounding the life and work of archaeologist Jacquetta Hawkes and ongoing visual research into the post-industrial landscapes of Britain. Her work has been exhibited in China and the UK.
